Niko’s Pizzeria: Make Friends While you Eat Amazing Italian and Greek Cuisine

Niko’s is where you want to be a regular. This is where you will run into the same people at the bar, and next thing you know you have friends that want to catch up with you every week. I cannot emphasize enough how many friendships have been made while having a delicious meal and watching a game on the TV. Whether those friendships were between me and other patrons or staff, or other patrons with other patrons.

This is a great place to catch any sporting event (ahem, go Dodgers). One time, someone asked for the Mets game, but all the TVs were set to the Dodgers. When the patron complained, the staff politely said “This is an L.A. bar.” and it felt very special to hear that.

It is not a full bar, so don’t expect fancy drinks. They have beer and wine

Serving Size & Delicious Soups

That’s just the vibe, let’s move on to the food. Do you like big portions? Well, if you don’t, that’s OK because you now have leftovers. Props to you if you can finish an entire pasta + the soup or salad + the bread. Some of the items I regularly go back to include: any of the soups (I’m not a big fan of the minestrone, though—but that’s just me). I love the chicken lemon soup, the clam chowder, the jalapeño cheddar, and obviously the chicken noodle

Salads, The Pizza & The Chicken Wings

It doesn’t end there. The salads are also great. If you are simple like me, try the house salad. It comes with cherry tomatoes, cucumbers, mushrooms, olives, mozzarella, and your choice of dressing (I like their ranch, they make it themselves). Niko’s can accommodate you if you would like to remove any of the salad ingredients, too. Their blackened salmon salad is also amazing. A little more filling, and they really men blackened. Personally, their cobb salad wasn’t for me. I’m not a fan of their hard boiled eggs, they tasted kinda vinegar-ey.

The pizza is so good. I wish they served by the slice so I could try a variety. You can order a personal size, small, medium or large. For some reason when the pizza is placed on one of those stands that raises it, it tastes so much better, so make sure to order something bigger than  small for that experience. I’ve mainly had their cheese ones, and I am not disappointed. The chicken wings are great, and I prefer the BBQ ones over the buffalo, but that’s just my preference. I don’t like my belly burning later that evening.

The Pastas & The Greek Dishes

What are some of the pastas I’ve had? The rigatoni is so good, you will want to order it every week. By the way, all the pasta dishes could be shared; they’re huge. The cheese ravioli is also really good; it’s served in a red sauce. The portobello mushroom ravioli is my favorite, and served in a vodka sauce.

They also serve Greek dishes. You can enjoy a hummus platter (my favorite pita ever), or some lamb served with rice and vegetables.

The Desserts

There are at least 10 different options to choose from, which can be quite difficult. There’s regular cheesecake, other flavored cheesecakelemon cake, etc. etc. There is something for everyone.
